Hello,
Well Saturday I went and had my IUI or insemination done. It went smoothly and no concerns there. I rested for the majority of the rest of the day. Yesterday I did a bit more but I should be careful for the next 2 weeks or so. I can't do any heavy lifting, which is driving me crazy since so much needs to be done for our move. Oh well, I guess I have to do what is best for me at this time. I have started taking things out of closets and making many trips back and forth to the living room to group things together. This way I am still doing something but not doing heavy lifting.
I am suppose to start taking Prometrium again starting tomorrow. It will be 3 times a day at 100mg again so that shouldn't be too bad! I will go in Thursday for an ultrasound to make sure I have ovulated. I am fairly hopeful that everything worked this time.
Tony had a good birthday. I left him alone for most of the day so he was doing things that he likes to do. Reading, watching videos and playing on the computer were on his list to do. The only input I had in it is I have asked him to read "Lost Daughter's of China" and that is what he read. However he was able to finish it yesterday and has moved onto another book already.
That is about all the news I have to report right now. I will talk to you all later!

Scary day...
Hello!
Well yesterday I went for my ultrasound and bloodwork. My doctor tells me that I have 2 mature follicles on my right and a whopping 6 on my left!! That means that it is, theoretically, possible that I will release 8 eggs. However I think this is unlikely and even if I do who is to say that they will all produce an embryo and/or implant. The doctor wanted to check some of my bloodtest results before he either canceled this cycle, or went ahead with it.
So I had a very nervous afternoon waiting for the doctor to call me and tell me what he has decided. I finally get a call at 5:30 last night from a nurse who said that the doctor is going to let me move forward!!! I was so happy, I felt she just told me I was pregnant! I was given my instructions for the next 3 days. Lupron for yesterday and today, Menopur (75 units) for last night and tonight I am to have my HCG injection but only half the dose. Saturday we go in for the IUI.
This means that Tony will spend part of his birthday in a doctor's office. Not ideal but I don't think he minds. After all, I keep asking him what he wants for his birthday and all he has said is "I want to be a daddy." Maybe this year he will get his wish!!
I will keep everyone posted!

Doctor everyday and still no answers
Sorry I am delayed on writing this. However as they say, better late then never!
On Friday I went to the doctor (my insulin resistant doctor) and he told me that I need to start eating fish that is from the sea and not farm raised. So now I am trying to do that. He also told me about the Glycemic Index. This I am going to have to wait till I meet with the nutritionist (the Tuesday after we move) to really understand. Best I can find it is not an exact science (which to me is not a good thing) so I am going to focus on what else he told me that being that my cholesterol is up. That is something I never thought I would hear. My cholesterol is always low but because of my diet I have had to eat more cheese. Now I am eating soy products.
On Saturday I went in for a ultrasound and bloodwork and my doctor wanted me to come in again yesterday. The rest of Saturday was spent looking a HUGE mall outside Philly (highly recommend that mall!!) and then I was ill in the afternoon. I was fine by the evening though.
I went to the doctor yesterday and I have a TON of follicles. The doctor went through them with me and told me that I have 3 (1 on my right and 2 on my left) that he thinks will mature into eggs. I have to go back on Wednesday to see where I am at that point. I may be triggered then. So that would put my IUI at the end of the week.
I think I am having my first symptoms of the medication that I am on. I have been slightly nauseated since Saturday. Saturday it was really bad but it really has been on and off since then. The only thing that has changed is I am now on Menopur. My doctor said that my estrogen is high because of all the follicles also so it could be that one thing is causing another. It is also sucking all the energy out of me. I guess I just have to take it easy for a while. That is not a bad thing too!
I will write tomorrow to talk about what is going on.

CD 3 Injectable/IUI cycle
Hello everyone!
Well I got back from the doctor today and I have my instructions. I had 5 follicles on my right that were less then ten and 14 on my left less then ten. Lets hope they don't all decided to grow!! Ha ha!
I am to reduce my Lupron to 5 units in the morning (I was at 10). I am to continue this until further notice. I am (and have) to take 225 units of Gonal F tonight, tomorrow and Thursday night. I was suppose to go in again on Friday but because I am seeing another doctor in the practice that day and my insurance doesn't like two appointments in the same day, I have to wait till Saturday to go in for the Ultrasound and bloodwork. Therefore on Friday I am to take 75 units of Menopur and 75 units of Gonal F.
So far everything went well. Tomorrow I will have to stick myself twice for the Gonal F because I have only 300 unit pens (4 total). The pens are not that bad. The worst part about them is the shear size of it as compared to my little needles that I take the Lupron with. That was a bit intimidating. I survived though and I think tomorrow will be better. Awkward hand placement tonight led to a bit of confusion. By the way, the shots are easier for me now. I don't really even feel the Lupron injections anymore and the only reason why I felt the Gonal F injection tonight is because I hit a nerve. That happens though so hopefully I will be lucky tomorrow.
Anyway that is all the news I have to report for today. I will write again on Friday after my appointment with Dr. Wu the nutritional and insulin resistant specialist doctor. Tony is coming with me for that.

CD 2 Injectable/IUI Cycle
Hello Everyone!
Well I wanted to give an update. I am on Cycle Day 2 today. I go to the doctor tomorrow for an ultrasound and blood work. I will find out then what medication I should be taking an how much. I am so excited to be finally starting. I have made an Excel chart that I can take with me to put in the amounts of the medication that I need to take and how often. I can't think of any more that I could do now.
Just wanted to give an update. I will try to write more tomorrow after the appointment.

Circling the Airport,
Well I have yet to get my period. So that means that I haven't started any new medication yet. I am hoping that I will get it soon to get on with things though. Things should move quick after I do get my period though so keep an eye on the blog.
Also, I saw my nutritionist this week. She says that I have lost 7 pounds since November. I am currently at 132 and the my doctor wants me at 145. So I have to eat more yet still be on my diet. Personally I think if I eat any more I will be on the diet I was on before I got put on this diet. I meet with my "nutritional" RE (along with Tony) next Friday. Hopefully he can shed some light on this for us. I recently went and got more bloodwork done, so, who knows maybe I will not be insulin resistant anymore. I was borderline before.
The good news is we will be getting a snow storm this weekend, so if I can't get my period at least I can watch it snow!
Just thought I would give an update!
Talk to you all when I have more information!
